Primus Master with Consecration Team on 17th November 2017

What a glorious day! The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro David Ashbolt and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W Bro Tom Quinn, the Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, VW Bro Jerry Gangadeen, W Bros Henry Hobson, Cliff Sturt and Tim MacAndrews, accompanied by the Consecrating Team and a large Delegation of Provincial Officers plus all the Founders and guests gathered in the Grand Temple to take part in a really wonderful experience – the Consecration of our newest Lodge, Gallipoli No 1984. The Consecration Ceremony was conducted by RW Bro David Ashbolt with great sincerity, depth of feeling and engagement with everyone.

All too soon, it seemed, the Consecration was concluded but we were then treated to the Installation of Bro Mahir Kilic as Primus Master. The PGM handed the reins to our Deputy PGM, W Bro Tom Quinn, who gave an immaculate rendition of the whole Ceremony. Once Installed, W Bro Mahir appointed and invested his Primus Officers for the year in a relaxed and warm manner. The Addresses were presented in fine form by VW Bro Jerry, and W Bros Henry, Cliff and Tim, our APGMs. The WM then presented the PGM with a cheque from the Founders totalling £5,000.00 This will be going to the St John Ambulance Appeal through the MBF. The Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, W Bro Wes Hollands, was his usual impeccable and unflappable self. Doubtless this was in some part due to him having his Deputy Provincial Director of Ceremonies, W Bro Sanjiv Gohil, to take on some of the workload!

The Lodge was closed in due form and at the Luncheon which followed W Bro Mahir Kilic presented RW Bro David Ashbolt with a painting of the PGM to mark their gratitude to him and his team.

We all enjoyed the day and the hospitality was superb. Many thanks.
